also: Graygor and Random McNally... those two have unique themes, and I can't work anyone into those and have it make sense

in other news, Photoshop crashed and I lost 2 hours of work. I made it to the rough lighting stage, and all I could save was this screenshot. my computer is telling me it's time to move on to August/Graygor. and also set the shortcut to open as administrator (without admin rights, the auto-saves never happened, I think.)

I know exactly how to redo it, so it's not so bad. it could have been worse

oh, see, working on pure inspiration is a nicety, but that's not what I run on. I've learned a lot already, from the few pictures of this calendar so far. including a few new photoshop tricks that I discovered, a new habit of finding a different way if one doesn't work, and there's the practice of getting light, saturation, and texture just right.

really, I'd like to know what you imagine for Eevee. my part is putting it down into pixels

it's messy, somewhat hard to envision, I apologize--I guess in terms of what you can see in it... colors, weight, material (leather and cotton-ish... and metal shoulders and legs)

the issue is, it's difficult to get an interesting picture from a vertical pose... and observers have a good sense for when something is interesting and when it's not.

I couldn't figure out why the image wasn't getting any more interesting as I worked on it... no matter what I tried, it was just... boring--then it jumped out at me.

so basically, anything turned at least a little bit from straight center, works

yes eevee, between the front and side pose I received from you, would it be possible to get a 45degree view (basically between the two angles... from the same side, to get both legs in the shot--from the other side, the left leg would block the right and that's not as bueno

I'm really glad you like it. relieved, even. I know you were partial to fallout initially, but I didn't like the bulky look of power armor ...! the underworld feel has more potential for sexy and a form fitting look.

the armor isn't completely rendered/drawn yet... this is a stopping point for me, and I need to meditate on the image for a while.

I've never rendered shiny metal before... there's still a lot of light to add. this is quite outside my normal range, but that's a good thing and i'm excited.

Geez this thread moved fast for a sec. I wanted to say about 3 pages back (just read it a few mins ago) that I think when you say "flare" you mean "flair". Also, the fur is a cool idea but I don't see anything wrong with big metal boots. Big metal boots are sexy. And I had an idea for how to let the sword show in-sheath without putting straps over the blade: just have it attach only at the tip and handle. And lastly, this image means you now know the correct aspect ratio of the real deal! :D
